چکیده
The purpose of this study was a techno-environmental assessment analysis for 280,000 m3 liquid hydrogen (LH2) tanker powered by hydrogen-fuelled combined-cycle gas turbine (COGAS) as the prime mover. This utilised established and reliable methods to simulate LH2 in different journeys conditions analysing advantages COGAS terms performance emission reduction. based on engine behaviour under cargo loaded unloaded conditions, with normal 6% degraded engine, various ambient conditions. According results, single-pressure reached maximum overall thermal efficiency 55.5% winter at ship speed 18 knots during journey from Marseille Algeria. From an environmental perspective, NOx 3.5 kg/h Tangier Southampton summer condition knots. results indicated that could successfully achieve high low targets off-design outcome will lead future investigation tankers operation economic aspects.

Cogeneration Power-Desalting Plants Using Gas Turbine Combined Cycle
The gas-steam turbine combined cycle (GTCC) is the preferred power plant type because of its high efficiency and its use of cheap and clean natural gas as fuel. It is also the preferred type in the Arab Gulf countries where it is used as cogeneration power-desalting plant (CPDP). In this chapter, descriptions and analysis of the GTCC components are presented, namely, the gas turbine cycle (comp...

Background Bioelectrochemical systems (BESs) are capable of recovery of metals at a cathode through oxidation of organic substrate at an anode. Recently, also hydrogen gas was used as an electron donor for recovery of copper in BESs. Oxidation of hydrogen gas produced a current density of 0.8 A m-2 and combined with Cu2+ reduction at the cathode, produced 0.25 W m-2. The main factor limiting cu...
متن کاملAnalysis of a Regenerative Gas Turbine Cycle for Performance Evaluation
The effect of a regenerative heat exchanger in a gas turbine is analyzed using a regenerative Brayton cycle model, where all fluid friction losses in the compressor is quantified by an isentropic efficiency term and all global irreversibilities in the heat exchanger are taken into account by means of an effective efficiency. This analysis, which generalizes that reported by Gordon and Huleihil ...
